Oh, Hello |
![]() |
N ot too long ago I had seen a post on the Stampin' Up! facebook page about some quick notecards they made with the Honeycomb Happiness Sale-A-Bration set. They put pretty paper on the front of the note cards and punched an oval hole to expose the stamping within the card. I loved that idea and immediately saw a sweet Easter or new Baby card! I decided to go to full size card and add pretty ribbon. I plan to make several in a variety of papers to have Baby cards on hand when I need them!

This Whisper White cardbase uses a top fold, 4 1/4" x 11" folded in half to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".
Attach a piece of pretty paper 4" x 5 1/4" with equal spacing around edges.
Slide the punch all the way in from the right side, slide down to the bottom until a small peek of white shows along that edge. Punch through the paper and top cardstock piece to expose the inside of the card.
Add black ink to the bird stamp. Line the wood block with the bird along the bottom and the right side edge and press down firmly (do not rock).
If you don't happen to get a clean stamp or if it is not aligned correctly you can stamp the bird on the scrap piece of white and adhere it in the correct location.
Using your chosen ink color (Daffodil Delight) and a blender pen color in your bird. Use another color (Crushed Curry) and a cleaned blender pen to color in the feet and beak.
Stamp a greeting with Black ink on the front lower left portion of card.
Wrap the ribbon through the hole and to the front. Tie a knot bow. Trim ribbon as necessary.
