Happy Birthday - Can't hold a candle to you! |
![]() |
F un, festive, and versatile! That is what this birthday card means to me. It uses some of the prettiest paper we have and gives lots of options for color combinations. I plan to make several more using the same paper and stamp sets, but different base and accent colors. It will make card making easy and yet, each card will seem unique. I love designs like that!

Cardbase (Crushed Curry): Cut a piece of 8 1/2" x 11" cardstock in half to make two 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" cardbases. Fold in half at 4 1/2" x 5 1/2" to make a left fold card.
Background: Cut a piece of pretty paper (It's My Party DSP) to 4" x 5 1/2". Adhere to the cardfront using SNAIL adhesive.
Accent : Cut a Melon Mambo piece 3 1/2" x 2 3/4". Cut a Whisper White piece 3 1/4" x 2 1/2".
Stamp the Happy Birthday greeting from Party Wishes in the center of the Whisper White piece.
Stamp a balloon string (Crushed Curry) near the greeting.
Stamp a balloon, candle, and cupcake on a scrap piece of Whisper White and punch out using the Party Punch Pack. Colors shown: candle (Crushed Curry), balloon (Mint Macaron), and cupcake (Tip Top Taupe).
Using edge pieces of dimensionals adhere the punched piece to the greeting. Cover the "i" with the candle.
Using the confetti (Melon Mambo) and sprinkles (Crushed Curry) stamps from Party With Cake add some random stamping to the greeting piece.
Adhere the Whisper White to the Melon Mambo accent piece. Tie a piece of each color of Baker's Twine to the Accent piece. Using dimensionals adhere the accent piece on the background towards the top.
Stamp "It's Time to Celebrate with Cake." inside the card using Tip Top Taupe ink.
