Lovely as a Tree Masculine Card Swap |
![]() |
I
participate in an annual masculine card swap each year just to get the ideas. We all need cards that the guys in our life might like. I decided to use a tried and true stamp set for my card. Lovely as a Tree. I also used the soon to be retired Teeny Tiny Wishes for the greeting.
You might notice a neutral color palette with a splash of color with the Pear Pizzazz and Pool Party strips. Perfect for a masculine card.
This is an awesome card layout. You could use this with completely different colors and a different feature stamp for a kids card or a feminine card idea. You just can't miss with this strong layout. Give it a try!

Card Basics: Crumb Cake base
Top Layer: Crumb Cake 5 1/4" x 4"
Tree panel: Very Vanilla 3" x 2 1/2"
Tree accent: Soft Suede 2 1/2" x 2 3/4"
Color accents: Pool Party and Pear Pizzazz strips (1" to 1 1/4" x 3 3/4")
Ink: Soft suede for tree and greeting
Accent: Use markers from the Subtles Stampin' Write set (Pool Party and Pear Pizzazz)
Stamp set: Lovely as a Tree & Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ribbon: Crumb Cake 3/8" Classic Weave
Stamp tree towards one side of Very Vanilla piece using Soft Suede ink. Then using markers add ink directly to a D clear block and huff on ink to add moisture. Stamp over the tree to add subtle green and blue streaks.
Stamp the greeting of choice in a place on the top layer (Crumb Cake) that will get covered by the other pieces. Punch it out using the Classic Label punch.
Layer the top layer onto the card base using Dimensionals. Adhere the Soft Suede accent piece with equal spacing on three sides (top, bottom, and right side). Approx. 1/2"
Next adhere the green and blue cardstock strips over the end of the soft suede piece matching the space from the right side to the left side (approx 1/2")
Take a small piece of ribbon and make a loop. Secure the ends together and tuck them under the tree piece.
Attach the greeting piece under the ribbon and secure under the tree piece as well.
Attach the tree piece over the Accent pieces using Stampin' Dimensionals.
