Opportunity for so much more

There is an amazing opportunity available right now!

The opportunity for fun!

The opportunity for creativity!

The opportunity for friendship!

The opportunity for many, many more things!

As a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator I've made amazing friendships!

Below is a photo of myself with two friends from a couple years ago when we attended a conference in Minneapolis!

Who do you know that loves Stampin' Up! products?

They are top quality, always coordinating, industry leading materials, tools, and designs.

Who do you know that loves to get a great deal?

Where else can you get $125 in product and only pay $99?

Not even the Big Box stores can beat that!

Who do you know that loves to craft and wouldn't mind getting a discount on all their supplies?

When you purchase a Starter Kit, you are a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and as part of the perks you will get at least 20% off all your future orders (as long as you stay a Demonstrator).

Who do you know that wants to be the FIRST to see new products, new catalogs, and get lots of ideas?

As a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator you will get to see the new catalogs and products before they are available to the public. You will get see ideas from Stampin' Up! that aren't available to customers, and you can join several Demonstrator only Facebook Groups where other Demonstrators (who will become some of your best friends) will share ideas with you!

Who do you know that would love the freedom to set their own hours and be their own boss?

When you say Yes to a Starter Kit you are an Independent Demonstrator, this means you can decide if or how you want to run your stamping business.

Get together with friends and family. Collect a few orders. Reach out to others and hold parties with them.

Maybe you decide you don't want to do any of those things. The business end just isn't right for you.

No problem! You get to keep the great products you purchase. There is no penalty. It just means you don't get a discount anymore and you go back to being a customer!  Nothing wrong with that!

Card Inspiration

A fun, fast and pretty card idea!

My friend Cheryl made this card for one of our Card Kit in the Mail offerings last year!

I love this card because you can make it as a horizontal card (top fold) or as a vertical card (left fold).

You can use ANY paper that you love both sides of the paper or mix and match patterns from the same pack!

Grab something from your stash and make this card along with me!

I hope you'll share your version in our Show and Tell post on Facebook at about 11:00 am every Sunday!

Hot Tips:

Determine which direction you're going to open your card.

Determine if the paper you're using is directional and will need to be cut so that it runs in the proper direction.

Choose your color combination!

You can get your color combination from the paper you choose to use!

All Stampin' Up! paper packs list the colors used on the back of the package.

Cutting instructions:

Cardbase: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", fold in half and decide if top fold or vertical

Turn appropriate direction

Background layer: 4" x 5 1/4"

Paper pieces: Cut 2 strips of paper 1 3/4" X 4 3/4" high. Then cut each strip into two pieces 1 3/4" (x 1 3/4") and 3" (x 1 3/4"). You can use patterned paper or you can emboss cardstock for the pieces (see card below). Mix and match. You decide!

Greeting piece:

Coordinate cardstock for background of tag and neutral for the main piece.

This card used a die for the background, then used a 1/4" narrower piece of neutral cardstock which was cut with the same die to create a layered look. Something similar could be done with a favorite punch.

Assembly instructions:

  1. After folding card base and determining if vertical or horizontal, then stamp greeting inside card first when using a light colored card base like shown.
  2.  Arrange the paper pieces onto the background layer as shown on either example and allow equal spacing between pieces before adhereing.
  3. Attach the background layer to the cardbases using Dimensionals.
  4. Stamp your greeting onto the neutral greeting piece.
  5. Attach the colored accent pieces to the back side of the greeting piece.
  6. Attach the combined greeting pieces to the front of the cardbase using Dimensionals.

Note: On the Mint card (below) a piece of ribbon was laid across the seam of paper pieces and is wrapped to the back of the background layer. Use scotch tape to hold the ribbon to the back of the background piece before attaching to the cardbase.

Use your favorite embossing folder to add interest!

I love embossing folders to add quick interest to a piece of cardstock and you can see on the card version above that even a simple piece of cardstock looks pretty amazing embossed!

Do you have a favorite color combination or an upcoming occasion that could use a card like this?

Maybe you're running low on supplies or want to add a few items?

Take a look at the new items in my online store!

Well here's another version of the layout!

This card is done with a Pool Party cardbase.

The background piece is Crumb Cake cardstock

The two paper pieces are done in Misty Moonlight and Rich Razzleberry.

This one didn't do any embossing on the Misty Moonlight cardstock. It looks great without, doesn't it?

The greeting tag is made with simple Basic White cardstock punched with the Everyday Label Punch.

I hope these tips and ideas inspires you to pull out some paper and make a card!

Then go one step further and send a card!

After all CARDS are hugs with a fold in the middle!

Fond Farewell

I'm excited that this new catalog is starting soon, but that also means some of my favorite products are going away.

First there are many bundles that the products aren't going away, but the 10% savings are going away!

Don't miss that!

Must haves!

If you don't have these ESSENTIALS may I suggest you grab them up today while they are still available!

My next favorite way to add to any project is to do embossing.

These folders are going away and some of my favorites! I think you'll like them too!

Happy Birthday Card Kit in the Mail

This card kit is SOLD OUT!

One year ago Card Kit in the Mail

March 2021 is the one year birthday of Card Kit in the Mail!

Let me tell you a little about my business model.

I'm a fan of the Party Plan model that most direct sales businesses are based on.

I've hosted and attended MANY, many parties.

You know the routine:

You attend a party that your friend booked and you order to help her get things for free or as bonuses.

Since I always felt awkward "asking" for the bookings, I quickly turned to a monthly, in person stamping event as something to offer.

It allowed me to offer stamping fun without anyone feeling obligated to purchase more than the supplies they'd be using that day.

I'd invite people I had met, and have them come and make 8 projects that myself and my stamping partner created.

Some people would even purchase double or triple sets to work on in the time they had to stamp together.

I loved these gatherings.

They worked well with the limited time I had available and it provided a "day away" for my stamping friends who attended.

I had always dreamed of doing more online. I see what other Demonstrators do online. I liked some of what I saw, and didn't like some.

I always knew "someday" I'd create an online version of my business, but last March I was FORCED to do it.

Our state as well as most of the country was put into LOCKDOWN for a "few weeks".

The birth of Card Kit in the Mail

I had already prepped my projects for our March in person stamping day which was shut down, so I offered the projects to those who had RSVP'd to the stamping day.

I had a couple people take me up on the "kit" version but still had some prepped projects available.

Next I reached out to a large group of people all over the country and offered a "kit" version of the projects.

This sold out the remaining prepped projects, so I just needed to put together a little instructions with photos of the finished projects so anyone could take the kits and prep them into finished cards.

MARCH CARD KIT IN THE MAIL is special!

To celebrate the Card Kit in the Mail we will have two bonus card projects with each kit.

The single kit will include 10 cards for only $25.

The double kit will include 18 cards for $45

and the BEST DEAL is a triple kit will include 26 cards for $65.

If you'd like to just purchase the instructions, there's an option for that as well!

As usual the kits include all the pre-cut, punched and die cut pieces, envelopes, as well as any embellishments required.

You will need to provide your own stamp set and ink to complete the projects, but they are designed so that you can make the cards for any occasion of your choosing.

Kits are SOLD OUT!
