If you are like me, you never have a sympathy card when you need it. Then you scramble to put something together to try to convey the heaviness of your heart. It happens to me more often than I care to mention. When I saw the Woodland embossing folder with the beautiful birch trees I pictured it embossed softly on vellum cardstock. I love the classic design of this card, that I will be able to change out the colors and stamp set for the seasons. I plan to make several of these to have on hand when I need them. Hope you will give it a try as well.
Create cardbase (Whisper White) - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" piece of cardstock folded in half to create 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" left fold cardfront.
Layer 1 (Tip Top Taupe) cardstock - 4" x 5 1/4"
Layer 2 (Vellum) - 3 3/4" x 5" Run through the Big Shot with the Woodland Embossing Folder.
Adhere Layer 1 on the cardbase, then use glue dots to adhere the vellum layer.
Cut a piece of cardstock (Cajun Craze) to 2 1/4" X 2 1/2" to use as an accent.
Cut a piece of cardstock (Whisper White) to 2" x 2 1/4".
Stamp the leaves from Lovely as Tree stamp set using Archival Black ink onto the Whisper White cardstock.
Color the leaves using fall color markers.
Adhere the Whisper White piece on top of the accent piece.
Punch an oval out of a scrap piece of Tip Top Taupe.
Stamp a greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes onto a scrap piece of Vellum using archival black ink.
Punch the greeting out using the Word Window punch.
Layer the vellum over the oval and adhere together using SNAIL.
Adhere the layered greeting on the lower right hand corner of the stamped image.
Use dimensionals to adhere and pop the layered stamped image off the vellum background.
