Use the paper to do the hard work for your cards

There are some awesome paper packs available from Stampin' Up!

One of my favorites right now is the Waterside Retreat paper pack.

I love it for the feeling of summer!

Cutting this paper into smaller pieces and using those pieces to create cards makes me HAPPY!

I hope it makes you happy too!

You can create cards like these with any of your favorite papers.

Waterside Retreat cards

Card Basics -

Cardbase: Peaceful Pine cardstock 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches.

  • Fold in half for a left-hinge or top opening card depending on the direction of the paper piece used.
  • Center and attach the printed paper scene onto a Pecan Pie accent piece (approx 1/4" larger than the scene). Arrange over patterned paper accent strips for more interest.
  • Stamp a greeting onto a Basic White cardstock punched or die cut tag.
  • Wrap the Linen Thread into circles. Pinch the center of the circle together to create loops, then fluff them slightly to “unlayer” them. Attach behind the greeting tag using a Stampin' Dimensionals or two and adhere to the card front in a location of your choice.
  • Decorate with embellishment dots.
  • Inside: Basic White cardstock, 4” x 5 1/4-in, Stamp a greeting. Decorate with paper strip.
