Timeless and Classic

I fell in love with the Timeless Textures stamp set in the Spring Occasions catalog. I imagined using it for scrapbook pages and to add depth to so many projects. For a recent swap I was in I cased a card by Angela Lorenz. I loved every detail of her card, but I made some very slight changes for mine. My color scheme is slightly different and the layering sizes are slightly different. My greeting embellishment is different so I could be sure to use two soon to be retiring punches, the washi label (sold out already) and the word window punch. This is a great masculine card, but with color scheme change could easily transition into a more feminine feel.

Cardbase (Smoky Slate): Half sheet of cardstock - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", fold to 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" for a top fold.

Accent layer (Basic Gray): 5" x 3 3/4". Punch a Washi Label from the center first, then adhere the accent layer with four sides equal distance to cardbase (centered).

Main panel (Whisper White): 4 3/4" x 3 1/2".

Stamp on the main panel using most of the stamps from the Timeless Textures stamp set. The edges are stamped in Basic Gray which has been stamped off first.

Next add two swatches of lines with Smoky Slate towards the center but only on one half of the white panel.

Using Basic Gray add an angled grid stamp over the lines.

Add two swirls of ink with Basic gray stamped off first.

At the far left side add a Smoky Slate swatch of texture.

With Basic Black stamp the fancy swirls in three locations (turn stamp as needed).

Finally stamp some speckles with Smoky Slate and then add more in Basic Gray, leaving the top left corner clear for the greeting to be attached.

Adhere the Whisper White piece centered on the Accent layer.

On a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock stamp your greeting. Punch with the Word Window punch.

Layer the greeting onto the Washi Tape punched Basic Gray piece and adhere.

Add two dimensionals to the back of the Basic Gray piece and attach in the upper left corner of the stamped panel.
