Soft and Easy Happy Birthday

A soft and easy color combination adds to the subtle feeling of this card using the Wetlands stamp set. Idea cased from my very good friend Lynn Dunn. The design is excellent for a sympathy card as well.

Card Base: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4" along the 8 1/2" side. (Whisper White)

Second Layer: 5 1/4" x 4" (Whisper White). Stamp a greeting on the lower right corner of the piece in Soft Suede ink. Note: Placement of the greeting should be done to allow amble space for the ribbon and the three same-size pieces.

3 pieces, 1 1/2" x 2 3/4" will be referred to as three same-size piece. Card uses Crumb Cake, Coastal Cabana, and Soft Sky. Push the three pieces together and stamp the birds from the Wetlands stamp set across all three pieces (centering on the middle piece - Coastal Cabana) in Early Espresso ink.

Separate the three pieces and stamp the tall grass stamp on the upper center portion of each piece in Soft Suede ink.

Adhere the three same-size pieces to the second layer by providing equal spacing side to side and approx. 1/4" at the top. No pop up needed here.

Wrap approx. a 6" of ribbon (crumb cake seam binding) across the front of the second layer, covering the very bottom of the three same-size pieces and allowing the greeting to show. Adhere each side at the back of the second layer. Add a second color or a smaller piece of the same ribbon to tie a bow on the left side of the ribbon.

Add Dimensionals to the back of the Second Layer and attach to the card base.

Note: Natural 7/8" Cotton Ribbon - SU:127844 or the back side of Natural 5/8" Chevron ribbon - SU:132982 would look great on this card!
