Frilly birthday card idea

The background accent piece really makes this card special and leans towards the feminine side. The color combination is fresh and clean. It is bright and pretty and will appeal to many.

Card Basics
Cardbase (Whisper White) 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", Score along the long side at 4 1/4". Fold along the score line and put the fold to the top of the cardbase

Accent piece (Coast Cabana) 4 3/4" x 3 3/4"

Focal Point (Whisper White) 3" x 3 1/2"

Cake stack (Whisper White) 2" x 3 /2"

Banner greetings (Whisper White) 2 1/2" x 1"
(Poppy Parade) 2 3/4" x 1"

Stamp a greeting inside the card using Poppy Parade or Basic Gray ink. Do this first so that if you make a mistake stamping directly to the cardbase you can re-fold the card to put mistakes to the front, it will get covered by the background piece.

Cut an accent piece from Whisper White cardstock using the Stitched Labels framelits and your Big Shot.

Prior to stamping the cake, candles, and pedestal using Basic Gray ink onto a scrap piece of Whisper White, you will want to punch a scrap piece of cardstock, so that you can line up the stamped images so that they will punch correctly.

Color in parts of the cake with Poppy Parade marker.

Color in the candles and the pedestal with Coastal Cabana. Use Daffodil Delight for the flames.

After the items are colored then you can punch the parts using the Cake Builder Punch

Line up the candles and cake onto the pedestal and attach to the frilly accent piece.

Punch a scrap piece of Poppy Parade to make the accent banner.

Stamp "Happy Birthday" onto a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock using Poppy Parade ink. Punch out using the Duet Banner Punch.

Attach the stamped greeting on top of the accent color banner. Offset them slightly so that the Poppy Parade piece shows at the bottom like shown on the card.

After the two pieces are combined, use Dimensionals to pop the greeting up and attach to the cake portion of the image.

Stamp the confetti images to the left side of the background piece using Coastal Cabana ink.

Attach the background piece to the cardfront. Keep the spacing at the top and bottom equal to each other. Also, keep the left and right spacing equal to each other.

Using Dimensionals attach the frilly piece that has the cake and the greeting attached to it already. This should be put on the right side of the cardfront and spaced equally top and bottom.
