Card Maker Tip: Find ideas that let you be efficient with your paper!
Maybe you're like me and you don't like to have strips of paper left after you do your cutting for a series of cards?
If I'm describing you, then this month's Classic Card Layout is for you!!!
You will take a piece of 12" X 12" paper and cut it into strips 4" wide and then cut 2" high pieces from the paper. You will be able to make 18 cards from one piece of paper!
Card layout idea to copy!
This card layout is one of my favorites! I use it over and over in my card making!
I love how simple this card is!
Here are your Basic Elements today.
The color combination that is perfect for Spring - Mint Macaron (cardbase)
The background is simple!
Just a quick splash of color with pretty paper and border
It uses a bold focal point.
Flower shape (Daisy punch)
Simple but fun embellishments.
A pretty sparkle added to the center of the daisy would be a nice touch
(not shown on this card, but could be added)
Here are the card basics:
Standard cardbase: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored along the long side at 4 1/4", folded along the score line to create a top fold card.
Background border: 4 1/4" x 2 1/4"
Pretty Paper piece: 4" x 2"
Flower focal point: 3" x 3"
Take the challenge!
Make a card using this layout as an inspiration. You don't need to copy it,
try a cat instead of a flower, circle with something stamped in it, change the colors, change the greeting.
You can use one of the Basic Elements or ALL of the Basic Elements.
This is YOUR card. You can change it up in any way that you want.
Use all new products or use longtime favorites!
All month, I'll share other cards that were inspired by this one.
I'll also start sharing some of the ideas that you have shared with me in future emails and on my facebook page.
At the end of the month I'll draw two winners from those who participated to win a little surprise from me.
Remember it's so easy to cut one piece of pretty paper into several equal size pieces and make up a batch of cards all at once!
Its' the final month of winter and final month of Sale-a-bration!
Here in Wisconsin winter is having it's fun, lots of snow and lots of cold, cold temperatures. I'm okay with that. It's what I expect.
What I didn't expect was more items being added to the Sale-a-bration selections! I'm REALLY okay with that!
There are three packs of pretty paper, embellishments, an embossing folder, and a packaging item added to the other selections that are still available.
You can check out all the items here or look at them individually below:
4. Pearlized Doilies - TWO packs
6. Rich Razzleberry Velvet Ribbon - TWO spools
You are going to want to get your favorites while you can. It seems like this Sale-a-bration things have been going out of stock very quickly!
That lets us know they are adorable, beautiful, favorite choices of many!
It's a great time to stock up!
Why now?! You'll get your supplies BEFORE they sell out AND you'll earn free Saleabration items! Smart!

You can see the supplies used and the step by step instructions.
Everyone has their own reasons!
My friend Cheryl has been a long time stamper and has been her daughter Kari's number one supporter, both in ordering and hands on helping with Kari's business.
Kari and I have been stamping business partners for the past 9 years or so. We put on in-person events together and share the tasks involved in the events.
We know each other through Cheryl.
Kari has been going through some health issues for the past year and has had decided she needs to step back from her business to allow herself to have one less thing on her plate.
Cheryl decided that she wants to run with her own business, and asked if she could join my team.
I am thrilled and very honored to have her choose me to be her leader.
We already have plans to move forward doing monthly events together.
If you are local to us, I'm sure you won't notice much difference at all. Like daughter, like mother. Talented and personable!
Cheryl just took advantage of the extra fifty dollars in product available in the Starter Kit right now.

When you start with a classic layout like this one you can make many, many of them so quickly. In honor of one of my favorite quick crocheting afghan pattern, I call this the mile a minute card. You can change the look of the card just by changing the colors used or changing the texture of the bottom panel. Use ribbon to separate the panels or use a strip of cardstock. Use what you have on hand.
