Swirly Thank You

Somhs july 1

I love a clean, simple card. It is my "go-to" for a swap. I needed to make 17 of these, so I wanted it to have some interest, but I also wanted to be able to complete them in an afternoon. This card has a splash of stamping, some pretty paper, a little ribbon, and a swirl of bling! I think it makes the perfect card. Appropriate for so many occasions, such as birthday, get well, thinking of you, or thank you. Follow the instructions and you could whip up a batch of these cards in no time!

May I say Thank You again?

Lb june swap

This soft, feminine feeling card is perfect to say thank you to the ladies in your life who are such a big part of making your life special. This card uses the delicious color combination of Rich Razzleberry, Sweet Sugarplum, and Blushing Bride. The new ruched ribbon and the dainty butterflies with their spot of bling bring the feminine touch that makes this card sing!

Sweet Sugar Plum and Peekaboo Peach You are Totally Awesome

This week's card uses two of the new In Colors, Sweet Sugar Plum and Peekaboo Peach! They look great together! Add a little Blushing Bride and Basic Black to pop some accent and you have a pretty good looking card! I used the greeting from Grateful Bunch, but this card could easily be a birthday, anniversary, or get well card with another greeting.

I cased this card from Mary Deatherage a demo from Atlanta, GA. She used the Pop of Pink paper and washi, but I decided to go with the Playful Palette combination plus I added a little ruffled ribbon for a fun accent. See my other post Summer of Washi Butterflies to see the card in the Pop of Pink combination and for the instructions.

There is nothing like washi tape to add color and interest to your card fronts FAST! I had used this layout earlier in the week for a swap with my fellow teammates, on that card I used the Playful Palette Designers Washi Tape and paper. So, for my monthly stamping club I decided to use the new Pop of Pink Designer Series Paper and Washi Tape. I love their patterns and color combination. I accented the front with a greeting from Thoughtful Banner and used one of the banners from the Duet Banner punch. Naturally, I had to add rhinestones, what else would do? On the high seas - Swirly Bird

Ahoy Matey! The Swirly Bird stamp set and Framelits are such versatile pieces. At my most recent local stamping event I used the set to make this masculine card with a sailing theme and also used it for a more feminine feeling card which I will share in the days ahead. There are many parts and pieces to the stamp set, so depending on how you put them together, you can make a sailboat or a bird or kites or flowers, swirls, and anything you can imagine. I expect this to be my "go to" set for along time to come!

It is an honor to be CASED

I have often talked about having a classic layout, and being able to use it over and over to create a new look. Well this week I have a classic layout copied almost identically, just changing the colors, and a few of the greetings. I had posted this Graduation card a few weeks back. Then I posted it on my team group page and I got lots of compliments and people asking if they could CASE it. CASE is Copy and Share Everything. It is an honor to be CASEd by fellow demonstrators!

In the weeks since, my teammates have been flattering me by posting their version of my card. It is very humbling to have so many like my card design, that they are making their own versions of it to give as graduation cards this year too. Here are there versions: The first one to post was my dear friend and stamping sister Bonnie. Bonnie makes the most amazing designs, so it is so flattering to have her like one of my designs so much that she made her own version! Thanks friend! I am so touched!

The next one to post was my sweet teammate Julie. She is so talented and makes such exquisite designs that seeing her make a version of the card just made me want to cry. I love her work and am happy that she likes mine!

The last one to post was my long-distance teammate Jill who is such a HOOT to talk to in person but she is able to share her personality so well online! She also creates such fun projects for her stampers to make, that seeing her taking a turn at my design is just so flattering. It really, really is.

Thanks to all my stamping friends who have shared their version of this card with me! I hope it will inspire you as well, to take a card you like and make it into your own! Casing is the greatest compliment a stamper can get!
