If you are anything like me, you never have enough Christmas cards when you need them. This year I decided to start early with my prep work. So, I choose July 24th as the date of my local event and presented Christmas in July. We had a large group of people attend and enjoyed making the 8 projects offered. This is the first of my 4 cards for the event. I used the boxes from the July Paper Pumpkin kit for the trees. I also used the green yarn as the accent embellishment. The greeting is from my favorite new stamp set and punch from the full line catalog, Thoughtful Banners bundle. Read on for tips for making this card.
Cardbase (Crumb Cake) cut an 8 1/2" x 11" piece in half to create a 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" card. Fold in half along long side to create a left side fold.
Accent piece (Whisper White) 4" x 5 1/4". Run through Big Shot with the Softly Falling embossing folder.
Trees were cut from the July Paper Pumpkin treat holder kit. You get four trees from each treat holder. Adhere with dimensionals.
Stamp the words Happy Holiday from the Thought Banners stamp set on scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock using Soft Suede ink. Place stamps a slight curve to make the curved edge of the punch..
Punch a banner from a scrap piece of Real Red cardstock. Layer the two banners at a slight misalignment. Adhere with SNAIL. Attach to card just under the tree with dimensionals.
Wrap the green yarn from the July Paper Pumpkin kit around the card and tie in a small bow. Use glue dots on back to keep in place.
Adhere the white panel to the cardbase using dimensionals.
