CCL Version 2 - Daisy Delight

Card Maker Tip: Find ideas that let you be efficient with your paper!

Maybe you're like me and you don't like to have strips of paper left after you do your cutting for a series of cards?

If I'm describing you, then this month's Classic Card Layout is for you!!!

You will take a piece of 12" X 12" paper and cut it into strips 4" wide and then cut 2" high pieces from the paper. You will be able to make 18 cards from one piece of paper!

Card layout idea to copy!

This card layout is one of my favorites! I use it over and over in my card making!

I love how simple this card is!

Here are your Basic Elements today.

The color combination that is perfect for Spring - Mint Macaron (cardbase)

Night of Navy (cardstock & ink) and Whisper White (cardstock)

The background is simple!

Just a quick splash of color with pretty paper and border

It uses a bold focal point

Flower shape (Daisy punch)

Simple but fun embellishments

pretty sparkle added to the center of the daisy would be a nice touch

(not shown on this card, but could be added)

Here are the card basics:

Standard cardbase: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored along the long side at 4 1/4", folded along the score line to create a top fold card.

Background border: 4 1/4" x 2 1/4"

Pretty Paper piece: 4" x 2"

Flower focal point: 3" x 3"

Take the challenge!

Make a card using this layout as an inspiration. You don't need to copy it,

try a cat instead of a flower, circle with something stamped in it, change the colors, change the greeting.

You can use one of the Basic Elements or ALL of the Basic Elements.

This is YOUR card. You can change it up in any way that you want.

Use all new products or use longtime favorites!

All month, I'll share other cards that were inspired by this one.

I'm asking you to start posting your cards that are inspired by this one on my Facebook page with the hashtag #CCL2 or you can email me a photo of your card.

I'll also start sharing some of the ideas that you have shared with me in future emails and on my facebook page.

At the end of the month I'll draw two winners from those who participated to win a little surprise from me.

Remember it's so easy to cut one piece of pretty paper into several equal size pieces and make up a batch of cards all at once!

Have fun!
